182 cup wheels

is it just me or do they look like toy lego wheels, too chunky for that car, plus the colour makes em look a bit plasticky!?

I think they are a little more up market looking than the usual aftermarket offerings. No matter how expensive addon alloys are they still seem to cheapen the car and turn it into the typical street boyracer sect somehow.

Just my opinion of course.

i believe this to be true in some cases, but not all, depends how well the wheel suits the car.

after mkt wheels nearly always look better than factory items.
How many factory own rims look any good?
BMW M3, New Honda S2000, Porsche (some wheels), there are a few. Not many granted. Well chosen aftermarkets are often far better.

I think in pictures they tend to look like hubcaps but in the flesh they are much better, although i wouldnt say theyre anything special. I do like the dark finish though..

I personally quite like the 182 Cup wheels - especially the colour. And some standard alloys look good, e.g. Seat Leon Cupra R - 18s in anthrite colour, mmmm....

But I like the standard 172 mk2 wheels too, although I wish Renault hadnt used the same basic design throughout their entire Clio range - makes them less exclusive.

The 18 inch versions are awful! I

d say most high end manufacturers produce nice wheels. Ford are good though i find, the fiesta wheels are nice and i love the Mondeo 18 inch split rim options..gorgeous.

Cupster

There is no beating the Cup speedlines though, best looking wheel for a clio definately.

I think that as soon as you change the wheels you look like a boy racer. However nice they look.

I have the 182 Cup wheels, and I do think they look a bit plasticy, especially when I get close up to wash them. But if I wanted the cup suspension I had to have those wheels with the special tyres (allegedly)....

Must agree with Cupster, the Speedlines on the Cup look great.

I may purchase a nicer set of wheels in time. I quite like the wheels on the RS Focus.

;)

i have had so meny people come up to me saying them wheels on my 182 cup look so cool. have even had offers from people wanting them for their clios. i think they look well nice and would never fit an after market pair of wheels as i cant see any looking better than the originals.

just my opinion

wasnt there an article somewhere that said most people buy the m3 and put the 19 inch rims on it, but it performs better with the standard ones?
