  Clio 182
Here is my Titanium (i think) Clio 182.

I purchased it last September with 72k miles and 1 month MOT for £1600. The car had a few mods, tinted rear windows, a sunstrip and it had been lowered on springs by 40mm.

It ran well and didn't seem to have any problems (other than the wrong coloured wing but that didn't bother me) so it was mine and a lot more sporty than the diesel 207 I was driving at the time.
I drove it about for a month and then put it in for an MOT. It failed on the sun strip intruding into the view and the passengers lower balljoint having extensive play. Once they were sorted I played about with the vinyl cutter at work and made some stickers for the rear windscreen

I know the monster one won't be to everyones taste but i pretty much live off the stuff at times 😂 and a piston heads one just for giggles.

That was pretty much it for a while and i just drove it about enjoying it

I stopped on the way home one day to take the above picture as its the first car I've had that has past that number in my ownership....normally they are well above it....and I'm easily amused.

Then one evening coming home from work my brake pedal went to the floor :fearscream: so I sent G172 a mail and ordered up some brembo front discs and pads, oe spec rear discs, brembo rear pads, replacement rear washers and hub nuts and spark plugs.

Being the gent he is he also threw in some brake fluid and some brake cleaner. Thanks again George.

So off with the old
IMG_0013_2_zpsernjcrji.jpg

and on with the new
IMG_1244_zpsmdddvzfa.jpg

Id also snapped both rear springs so ordered up a set of vmaxx coilovers to replace them all with
IMG_1237_zpsqrbe2g5a.jpg

I originally thought that id slightly popped out a rear piston causing the brake fluid leak as the pads were uber low but it turned out the rear pipe that runs along the rear beam had split in two along the beam :(
so I ordered up some custom HEL lines to replace them with
IMG_1290_zps5qjhfjoo.jpg

However I was concentrating on getting everything fitted so I could get the car back on the road so I don't have many photos durring or after with them on.
IMG_1281_zpsytz6kcea.jpg

Front Coils and discs and pads on. Made a bit of a rookie mistake with the coilovers though. left them wound down low......too low infact and almost ripped the front bumper off the car getting it out the garage the first time :( raised the height a bit and ended up with this.

Exhaust mounts are next tempted to do the power flex mod to them (forgot to wash the centre caps for the wheels......:weary:) oh front badge has also been wrapped in matt black and the fog light surrounds are to match the spare passengers wing i have wrapped (badly) in the same camo as something different.

Looks decent, again that wing sticks out like a hairy bell end, a 2nd hand titanium one or your wing spraying wouldn't cost the earth.

Nice car tho.

  Clio 182
Cheers guys. Camo wrap is just because I can. As said I have wrapped the wing as well so I shall put it on at somepoint. It was an odd colour before it may as well be a completely odd colour.

The camo wrap onthe fogs is nice and different but suttle however the wing? All I can think of is a safari car or clio lol and that millage is just a win made me chuckle

Well the other day me and my mate had planned to go for a run up to Grantown on Spey while the other half was away at her Baby Shower. Unfortunately he managed to break his impreza the night before so I went off on my own around some back roads I know relatively well from my younger days.

Only stopped for a few photos

I do like how it sits although I'd love to get it a bit lower on the front but it already rubs every now and then over bumps or hard cornering.
IMG_0216-2_zpsl25fqx2l.jpg

Also had a play with the work vinyl cutter again....

So I've done some more wrapping. Decided to give the bullets a go in the camo as well. Look okish, getting better everytime but would have been better sanding the bullets smooth i think.

So when I originally bought the car I also bought new engine and gearbox mounts aswell as poly bushes for the dog bone mount so last weekend I blagged an afternoon in the garage and decided to finally fit them aswell as sorting out my exhaust mounts.

IMG_0377_zpskcxsxai2.jpg

Dog bone and the black polybushes.
IMG_0378_zpsxchldfhe.jpg

Out with the old bushes
IMG_0382_zpsa6ogu4dx.jpg

And in with the new. Then onto the engine and gearbox mounts.
IMG_0384_zpsohkewmkr.jpg

Old engine mount. Belts look in ok condition too. No fraying or anything. Will save up and get them changed next year hopefully.
IMG_0386_zps6to8sd6s.jpg

New engine mount and cover back on. Didn't bother with photos of the gearbox side.
I also had another box of goodies in the shed.

Which allowed me to fit a Fattys induction kit.

I love the sound this makes when giving it the beans. Just need to get a cat back exhaust sorted now. In the meantime I used the universal polybushes to sort my sagging exhaust. It is still squint but I ran out of time.

It makes the tips look tiny though.

Good progress and some nice bits. Quite like the camo wrap, did you put the wing on in the end?

  Clio 182
Cheers. No I didn't put it on. Took the wrap off as I'd made a complete mess of it. Really like the look of the below Clio but wondering if it's just easier to cut random shapes in grey, black and brown vinyl and do it myself with the silver background as wrapping just a wing was hard enough. I can't imagine doing a whole bumper in the stuff.

It will look s**t mate, keep it nice and clean and get a titanium wing to match the car and remove all the stickers.

  Clio 182
Cheers guys. Plan is to change the wing for the damaged titanium one this weekend and roll the rear arches if I get time.
The car went into the local garage on Tuesday to get the aux belt and tensioner replaced to stop it squeaking and to get the alignment done. So after that was completed I could fit all the wheels.

image_zpsjnkjtuuu.jpg

Super happy with how it's turned out. Needs 10mm spacers on the front and the rear arches rolled and lowered back down and it will be perfect.

  Clio 182
Well i never managed time to change the wing or roll the arches but went out to Boyndie sprint to watch my boss this morning and to get some pics so I got some better pictures of the new wheels on the way home.

So some progress has been made but not a huge amount to show for it.

Got the clio MOT'd which means I've had it a year, think that must be the longest I've used a car continuously for. Also got the garage to replace the AUX belt and tensioner as it was squealing on full lock.

Got a free steering wheel from a colleague so decided to wrap it in the camo vinyl too.

After

Just need to buy a boss for it now.

Also missed out on this spoiler on eBay. Apparently it was a renault option. Anyone have any ideas of a part number or if they are still available from renault or anyone else?

So I managed to track down a spoiler like the one above but in green so i need to pick up some aerosols and get it into some form of silver.

I have also bought a cat back exhaust from ebay for cheapness, unfortunately the tips have been painted black but nothing a wire wheel and some polish cant sort. As you can see they should fill the rear bumper cutouts nicely

So the other day I got round to sorting the heater resistor pack as its been pretty cold up this neck of the woods. No pics of that. I did also change the drivers wing back to the original titanium one, fitted my ph1 gearstick and flocked gearstick surround.

Plan now is to remove the stickers and go for a cleaner look.
