182 engine conversion charges and parts?

Hi please would someone be able to post all the different parts i will need to do a complete engine conversion from a 1.2 to 182 including brakes and everything?

I know most of you will say save your pennies and all that and get a actuall 182 and that its cheaper to buy a 182 but i want something different and i want to do a big project on the clio as its not my main car that i use.

So if someone could post me a list of parts etc i will be very grateful

Thanks alot chris

Are you wanting to do the conversion yourself?

I know KTec do a conversion package for around £3k, but it would come to alot less if sourcing and fitting parts yourself.

Do the ktec engine conversions include everything such as uprated brakes etc..? and will the car run prefectly and everything once done?

as per ususal.

Buy a 182

the only advantage you will have with doing the conversion is that it will work out a little cheaper than buying a 182, but your insurance is going to be fookin high

edit: If you want a project, personally i'd go for something a little more exciting :)

You said it here... save your pennies and all that and get a actuall 182 and that its cheaper to buy a 182.

If you want something different, do some nice mods to the 182 like completely strip it out and spend some money on some proper engine mods, strip off the aircon etc and make a trackday legend. You'd recoup a lot of money selling the 182 bits that everyone wants to stick on their 1.2's.

You have to look at total cost of ownership as well. A frigged about with 1.2 with a 182 engine in it is not exactly going to sell easily.

Overall - a way better bet to buy a cheap 182 and start from a good base point for a project.

Really don't get that...

If you want a 172, don't buy a 1.2 and then upgrade it bit by bit to a 172. Just buy a 172!

HOWEVER.

If you want a car that just goes fast. Buy a 1.2 for less than 1k. F4R engine for £1500. Then everything else (suspension/brakes) can be uprated. It'll cost less than a 182. And it won't cost much if you stack it.

You can get a normal RS for £2k so why bother?
$1.5k + all the other bits new cambelt delete tensioner sof rht wepas pump and air con if necessary then new oils fuilds brake pads etc then sort out all the problems then there the work involved. OK if you want a challenge its OK but there more interesting things you can do and you can get a 172 track car for less than building one.
