182 Exhaust Question

Is there meant to be a curved dent in the bottom of the standard 182 exhaust manifold where it sits on top of the front swaybar?

I noticed it when under the car a few weeks back. My dealer is saying that the dent is part of the exhaust design to clear the sway bar.

yup, clears the front anti roll bar i do beleive!

i was told it was from the front anti roll bar hitting it?
