182 - Front Seat - Fails to go all way back, any ideas?

  Shhh
As title really, front seat passenger seat fails to go back all the way, had a look underneath, runners look clear, tried the usual force it back with legs.

Just twists and seat move bar just comes off. Put it back on, and seat comes back to normal in its 'i wont go back anymore state'.

Is there an issue with this, or has something fell into somewhere, and needs to be removed.

Can the seat be removed easily, what about the runners.?

My drivers seat won't run smoothly at all. Replaced the runner, but it's still just as bad.

As Edde says, there are 4 bolts that can be accessed from under the car, there may be rubber seals over two of them. You'll need a torx screwdriver to remove the plastic trim (one screw at the rear of each trim) and then a spanner to undo the nuts holding the runners on to the seat mounts.

That's how I did mine anyway.

my passenger seat is like this too in my 172, i just simply ignore it because i dont have to sit in it hahaha

Is there any pictures, on refitting the seats, is there any torque settings for them.
Only 4 bolts to be undone under the car all are covered by gromits there two easy enough to see right under the car and 2 more on the central tunel though the car.

If you just want the seat as a whole out, then yeah it's just the four nuts underneath the car that need unscrewing. The seat lifts out then, just watch your paintwork as you're getting it out. 15min job to get one out I'd say.

As for re-fitting, I don't know any official tightness settings, but I just kept going til they felt like they weren't going anywhere!

Remember to unplug the wires and the battery beforehand though.. apparently that's necessary (I didn't unplug the battery, but maybe I got lucky).
