182 Gear Gator

My gear gator has snapped clips, like most other 182s out there.

Anyone know the Part No & price of a FF 182 Gear gator from Renault?

Dan, they are about 5£ IIRC for the fake leather bit, and it comes with the cable tie open so you can tighten it and then turn it inside out to fit.

Yup very easy to fit as mentioned.

Just pop it all in the right order and your done.

There is no difference between the ones on the Dynamique al the way to the RS models.

They used to be about a £5 but i think with every other stupid price rise they have gone up well over double.

I was £4.60 odds for mine, have the receipt at home, can get the part No if you want

fubar theres a thing on here of how to mend it! this is what i did and mines as good as new! Much stronger! with a self tapper screw

i can confirm that part number is correct, as its written on my broken one.

However... Renault just quoted me £36.18 for a new one!

Renault make it up as they go along. 182 splitter is more expensive than one for a 996 turbo, go figure.

nah, far too ghetto for me.

Just been over the other side of town to visit Mr AlexS at the other dealership... £5.50 off the shelf and I went away a happy man.

There's a moral to this story:

Westover New Milton: £36.18 = JOKERS
Westover Bournemouth: £5.50 = LEGENDS

Amazing that they're both part of the same group, and only 12 miles apart :dead:
Whats worse is that when I was in the New Milton dealer, their service manager Mr Darren Flowers mad: ) was telling me he only fitted one to someone's car earlier today and they paid the same (£36.18).

The price depends on the spec/build date of the vehicle, as the one for my Clio was £18.90 and it looks the same as some others.
I bet you didn`t give all the vehicle details upon your first enquiry so just got a price for a similar part that they supplied that day?
