182 gearbox + clutch?

Hi,

I test dove a 182 today in southend.

The clutch was very very heavy.. I was wondering if this means anything?
Also the gears were very close together, is this a chracteristic of the 182?

We went down some little country roads... We went well into the 5k kick... The guy kept calling it V-tec!! lmao

theres normal then theres very stiff?

Every 182 I have drive has had a stiff clutch, it depends what you've been driving before hand. The other night I sat in Mattjk's 182 and depressed the clutch and it felt very heavy, primarly because I had been driving the Lupo all day.

Yea i spose so, i have driven a couple of 182's now and this was by far the heaviest. Coming from a 1.2 btw!!

clutch is heavyer than a 1.2 as the clutch springs are alot harder in order to stop it slipping

i work for renault see different clutches day in day out, my clutch is fairly heavy in my own 172 and most 182s are. but i know somebody with a 182 i stuggle to even push the pedal down
