182 Heater blower

Do all Clios heater blowers only increase speed up to 4th or 3rd bar and rest are there just to exist or am I having some sort of issue? [emoji848]

Well.. doesnt do anything. Ill have to check again to clarify from which setting it stopa increasing speed.

To confirm. Speed increases up to 4. From 4 to 8 speed stays same as 4.

Like I say, I would only replace with a genuine one. Do you remember the zafira saga with aftermarket stats?.

Yeah was just an example mate.

Not saying other people don’t have success with aftermarket ones, but £15/20 for a used one I was happy enough to pay.

Of course, I was in GM dealer assistance at the time.
The issue is that GM never considered that the pollen filter would not be changed every 12K or even 50K.
The American manufactured fan motor cooked itself trying to keep up with no intake, & the cheap Chinese stat got blamed as it was screwed to the top of the motor box, despite the fact that it would be open circuit on maximum speed.
Commercial politics.
