I reckon theyll scratch the bumper and just leave the alarm fault.

I assume they have already ordered the exhaust section in, otherwise that wont get done either.

Id expect a new rattle in a completely different place than youve had before and away from the area youd expect them to touch when repairing the current faults.

Yeh my car has developed new rattles..... Three to be exact since going in over the past month

yeh i booked the car in last week so they said they ordered the exhaust in then, i rang yesterday and they said it was in, funny though i still dont believe its there !!LOL, yeh im guessing alarm will be left untouched, the exhaust will be bodged on and leaking and rattling worse than before and my bumper will be scratched ?!, lets just hope it all goes to plan, should be picking up at 1.00pm so that will be about 5.00pm then

They washed mine last week. When I got home I did it in the dark to make sure they hadnt made a complete mess of the paint. Guess what, its ringed. Only noticeable under bright lights. Ill have to rub those out now and I had doing stuff like that, it takes ages.

U never know 182Blue.... When they work on my brothers Vee he has no problems, Touch wood, Although he is taking of the engine covers before it next goes in, so they dont get scrached "Good thinking Batman"

Another thing...... They have ruined my BMC airfilter, took it of when replacing my hole wiring system, and marked it all! I now take my carbon engine cover of now just in case

They have no respect, i wouldnt dream of treating other peoples property like they do

As alot of 172s etc seem to be developing the same faults you would think this would be sorted and info fed out to dealers.

When they wash the car do they jet wash it? Getting mine back tomoz after colour coding and I dont want them to jet wash my paint off!

Just ask them or tell them not to wash you cars even if they are dirty. Nothing worse than dealer inflicted swirls.

make sure its spotless when it goes in, that way they will probably realise you take care and do the same?? thats what I do.

also ask them to drop shut the bonnet not push and to be careful. 12K service aint far away... start worrying about taking it in for that now!

Why dont you all just take them to a renault specialist for the work?

Its now allowable under law for other private companies to do the work, and theyll probably take more care of your cars.

right, car not washed (good), alarm beep not fixed (never even looked at it, exhaust done but i got there and it was not straight (i.e to high on one side ??, they then put it back on ramps and brought it back to me, and hey it was now level, yes good !!!, well it would be but now the exhaust is to far to the left !!, they then said that it could not be adjusted anymore and what do you expect, i showed him the new 182 behind mine and he said it wont look like that as that was put on by a robot !!!!WTF, i gave up in the end and i will have a go at straightening it myself later.

oh nearly forgot they did the washer jet, so thats fixed too, but that also is slightly wonky too !!!!.

anyway the exhaust rattle has gone (touch wood).

no other visible damage at the minute, so seems ok form that side, but not to happy with there sh*t service, and the service manager didnt give a sh*te either

Mine is at renault now getting the dents sorted out. Passenger side rear wheel arch got dented whilst they were repairing the faulty head light washer!?!

Supprised at the dealer doing the work for free, as I only spotted the damage after a 20 mile drive home.

Get the car home wednesday, wots the betting its sporting damage else where now.

Good old renault.

Get back in there and make them refit the exhaust for you. When I collected mine it was pointing as far right as the bumper cutouts would allow. They put it back in the ramps and fitted it correctly. They can do it, they obviously couldnt be arsed to do so.

And I cant possibly see how a robot could thread the exhaust mounts into those little rubber mount holes.

If you look at the plastic bit of the front bumper under your ball washer you may find scratches! Coz what they do is place the bumper upright on the floor which usually gets a few scrapes and scratches on.Have a look carefully and see if you see any.Fakin munkies!

my 182 was in for first service today and warranty work

car feels good after service, but...

headlight washer not fixed as they claim they ordered the correct washer (n/side) but an o/side washer was in the box......

and they could not hear my exhaust/heat shield rattle

never mind, other than that the service was good, i made them walk around the car before handing the keys over...and i have got it back in one piece!!

^^^is your exhaust the centre box ??, thats what mine was, the middle box breaks up, just bang it and if it rattles then its knackered.

JAMESSRICH, thx for getting the address for me, im not on the net much lately but will try and check back soon
