checked everything and it looks like it might be coming from one of the nuts just below the cap- can you just tighten it up :S

Any help is much appreciated

cheers Paul

The oil leak is most likely the cam cover seal, the cam cover is sealed using silicon sealant, no gasket iirc, what it appears to me is that when the seal fails (or never sealed properly in the first place) small amounts of oil can pass from inside the cam cover into the bolt holes for the cam cover, then up the bolts and appearing around the bolt heads, oil will also be noticeable at the front and back of the cam cover near the cam belt cover, if your brake fluid reservoir cap is oily, the cam cover seal will most likely be weeping.

The proper fix is to remove the cam cover and re-seal, but i have heard of some dealers just removing 1 cam bolt at a time and putting loctite under the bolt head to stop oil weeping from that area.
