I did try that bolt but was worried. Ended up finding the guide and have used that rail bit.
Has anyone ever centre jacked from the front with the subframe? Needing a solution to a single garage :expressionless:

I put 50mm concrete coping stones underneath my jacks , its a more solid base and gives you an extra 50mm height to start with so you can get the axle stands under the frame rails .
Something like this :

Any photos of custom jacking points?
So what's the best way to go about setting the car on 2 axle stands at the front if there isn't a place in the centre to jack it?
Is it too dodgy to sort an axle stand on one side then lift the other side?
Can do that, but i prefer mine on the cills. Gives the car a bit more stability, especially if you're doing any work that means you need to give it a bit of welly.I was going to go with the stands at the rails shown in post 7 where the axle stand is sitting.

anyone got a photo of where on the front chassis rail, or is it on the bolt as the photo earlier post 7#Yep, as above. Jack at the front chassis rail, axel stand on the jacking point on the cill. Move to the other side and repeat. Rear, jack on the rear beam, 1x decent axle stand in the centre of the rear beam is enough.
The amount of times i take wheels on and off for track days, may have to get the jack points sorted- any idea how much?
Looks great- how much it cost you to get done?My apoligies for the poor photo.
I had plates welded to the front subframe and can get 3 wheels off the ground at the same time.
About £30, + a subframe, as it was one of several little jobs I gave them at the same time..Looks great- how much it cost you to get done?
cheers for the info- i'm a phase 1 172, but will ask Clioman (Trader) see if he can sort some better jackpoints for meAbout £30, + a subframe, as it was one of several little jobs I gave them at the same time..
All PH2 subframes are the same if you are looking to pick one up, before someone starts some nonsense about Cup`s being different.
Anyone recommend a lightweight low entry trolley jack- under 10kg. A carry handle be nice too.
no- will golook, unless you have a link?Have you looked through the range at SGS Engineering?
