CLS, RS MEG
I have spent hours going over the 182 fixing the normal leaking foot wells.
Scuttle drains x 3
Sill drains
Heater matrix seal in scuttle
Bulkhead seal
Front arches, side skirts stripped. I can happily wash the car now, and the footwells remain Dry..
However, dampness starts to form beneath these pipes. If you look on the fire wall surrounding, you can see a stained sticky wet area, the reverse of the firewall is damp to touch.
Is there any typical areas where the heater matrix can leak from? I haven’t notice coolant levels dropping much, so not sure if it’s coolant or ingress water.
The pipes in the engine bay coming in look sound and not split. Does the matrix tend to crack after so many years?
Any ideas?
