182 leather and alacantra exact colour for retriming

Car  182 Cup/Mk5 Gti
im going to retrim my plastics! so im leather some in alacantra!
im after if if anybody has the colour code or name so i can get the strips of material to retrim my plastics! thanks tommy

Well when I tried to match from samples for a new steering wheel trim it was actaully a BLUE of some kind! Not sure if there is an exact colour coding system for leather? Or should that be faux-leather......

i may just use the alacantra as the leather will be hard to match up i think! theres a chap on ebay selling alacantra for £20 a metre!

there no such colour code or anything on them,

with the leather you need to go and compare it, the shade, the grain and the shine.

alcantara can be a nightmare to match due to the nap making it look a different shade.

what plastics is it your trimming? if theres a lot of shape leather is very hard to work with, youd be better off with ambler, the false leather stuff, very stretchy.

im doing the a and b pillars and the center section at the top or the rear side windows! i think i may aswell use the faux leather stuff like you say its more stretchy

find your local upholstery supplier, or find a trimmer and ask them where they get the supplies from, go along ask for a couple samples to compare against your seats.
