182 Manifold on 172

Sorry if this has been done to death, but I am lead to believe the main difference in the 182 engine is the manifold, if this is the case, does adding a 182 manifold to a 172 up the bhp and does it even fit?

wont fit directly you'll need a link pipe , also the inlets on the 182 are bigger , but get your inlets done too .

trying to get a 182 manifold is also quite hard without paying top dollar , 2nd hand 250 plus .

the ktec sports cat fits directly to the 182 manifold , but i've heard you can get a link pipe to work also .

looking at about small gains for the 182 manifold but every bit helps .

I've had a set of 182 inlets and 172 inlets both the same. SOme are beta made than others.

from what i've seen the "RS" inlet manifold is standard on the 172cup

Sib- Whatever bad comments you hear from fitting a 182manifold on a 172 DONT LISTEN!
Ive resently done it and i personally think its one of the best mods ive done to my car. Ive got massive improvement in torque and power throughout.
My car is booked in to be remapped due to cams problems i have but im hoping once mapped with the new manifold will increase bhp and torque.
Will post results when done.
