182 manifold



can anyone give some advice as to what i would need to have done for this to fit my 172 cup and if there is anyother mod's that need to done with this . ???

also what kinda gains am i likely to get ???


oh and also how much these cost ??

will you be using a de-cat or normal cat?

the flange on the 182 mani is different where it meets the cat than it is on the 172 manifold so you need to fit a 182 cat or a decat pipe that is modified to fit the old middle section of the exhaust.

Fitting it entales removing the subframe which can be done in a few hours

Gains are 5ish bhp i had one fitted to my 172 cup extreme but it cracked, ive only just got it welded up but i could notice a difference in power

They're easy to find!

The problem is fitting, you have to drop the subframe. Only worth doing if your clutch needs replacing really.

it's not that hard to fit Rob. Could of hrs work. Seen it done before. Torque performance have it down to an art now. they've done a few.

and it would be run through a normal cat as it has only just be replaced . yeah i now i should of had a decat but couldn't find and i needed the car .

^^^^^no matey.....as that is a 172 cat and i dont think it will fit the 182 feed after it comes from the manifold

am sure chris of chris n nic have had it done to there cup ????

yeah it can be done lad...but the boar of the pipe coming from the 182 manifold is defferent than the 172...so you just need a 182 style cat or decat:).....i would go for decat:)

i have done to my 172 and i am very happy with the result.after fitting the manifold you have to remap your ecu too

i have a source of an alternative 4-2-1 manifold virtually the same as the 182 one

i'm awaitiing prices (still!)

There's no difference between 172 / 182 flanges etc. Once you get the manifold on it just a case of getting the cat / zorst welded up to the right lengh.

Got mine done for 100 notes but that was through m8's in the trade.

there's a 182 mani on ebay just now :)
