182 Milltek - what difference does a decat make?

I have a cat back system, out of curiosity how does a decat alter the sound of the cat back exhaust? Louder? Raspier?

Does it give a real world difference to drive ability ? Or is it a placebo?

Performance wise I noticed no difference over standard. Makes the exhaust note a lot rapier I found. Sounded nice on my Trophy but to boomy on the motorway.

Cheers, boomy I do not need in my life, I had enough of that with my old 172 stealth!

Will make your exhaust a fair bit louder and will be noticeable on the motorway.

I have an RS192 with decat on my trophy and it's pretty dam loud! Louder than my KTEC stealth system by a fair margin.

Ull just gain noise and i find its smoother with a decat

About 0bhp on a standard engine but 15db+ going on the previous ones ive had fitted on a 172.
