182 more to insure than 172??

just wondering if this is the case??

i just got a quote on a 182 and it was £690!!!!!!! i aint paying that!

i've had clio williams',r5 gtt's and glanza's and their always around £300 for the year,why is the 182 so expensive? and will the 172 be cheaper? i doubt it will.

Same here, at least you dont get quotes of £1800 for a 1.2 clio thats worth £600 max.

I thought this but last year when i got a policy with elephant they said the cup is £50 cheaper a year than a 172, i didnt complain

I got quotes on 182's and 172's. They were exactly the same for me.
The cup was a fair bit more though, a lot of places wouldn't insure me at all.

im finding it quite strange as i imagine i am older than most of you? im 29,i've got full no claims,no points or convictions & live in a low crime area.

cant work out why it's so high?? maybe i should shop around? im with sky at the moment and they have been spot on in the past
