182 OEM Tyre Size & RB 182 on Turbines

  RB 182
Hey Guys,

my car currently has some 15" Speedline Turbines on, but i have the OEM Anthracites sat in the garage with no tyres!

i was just wondering, because i plan on buying some, what size tyres are best for the 16" OEM wheels, and why?

AND, if anyone has any idea, what size tyres they came out of the factory in?

also a picture of the turbines on the RB! - (excuse my camera skills ha)

Thanks in advance!

i was thinking of getting 195/40/16 for the lower profile, whaddya you lads think?

i think it'll look better/sit sweeter! :D

so many factors to take into account, ha ha

its lowered 30mm as well, so it should sit nicely with a splitter on with the OEM's.

another thing you lads might be able to help with.. what tyre pressures are you all using? i've got 30 all round on the 15" Turbines at the moment, but i'm always open to different options!

Changing from a 205/45 to a 195/45 still has the same 45 profile ratio.
your actually opting for a skinnier tyre with the same 45 profile.

a 195/45 has a sidewall height of 87.75mm
a 205/45 has a sidewall height of 92.25mm

I just use 195/45 as they can be had cheaper!lol! 16" wheels I run for the looks, I buy decent tyres for the 15" as they ride/handle better imo

i think in the long run i'll be looking for turini's. but the OEM wheels are the next best thing at the moment i think.

i'm not too keen on the Turbines to be honest :dapprove:

but yeah, i think i'll take your advice boys and get 195/45 or 195/40. see what choices there are!

i'll get some on trade mate ;) my dad works at a Mitsubishi/Renault Garage

thanks for the offer though :D

i've got the rear Bearing to sort first though, REALLY loud humming/rubbing at the moment :banghead:

i'm in touch with G172 about getting a couple of new discs/bearings/ABS rings and pads, working out cheaper than doing just the bearing!

needs doing ASAP!

ai common issue that, I keep a few discs and bearings on stock as the mk1 is same fitment and uses a few on track days

ahh kinda glad to see its a common problem, instead of it being MY fault. ha.

feels weird changing all the discs/abs rings/pads and bearings JUST because one of my bearings has gone though. if that makes sense?
