seems to be asked every day lately lol

5W-40........fully synthetic, though not all are equal

some of the best are Silkolene Pro S, and Motul 300V, then you have the likes of Fuchs Titan Supersyn and Mobil 1.......then the lesser fully synthetics which arent really fully synthetics, like Elf, Shell, Carlube, Duckhams etc etc etc

If you've got less than, say, 10-20k on it, I'd stick with mineral oil.

Fully synthetic can bee too slippery...doesn't allow the engine to bed in properly and it'll stay tight.

I'm sure Shell Helix Ultra is a fully synthetic oil?

it is on the label, but not a 'true' fully synthetic

its one of the cheap ones, its basically a very heavily refined mineral oil

its all due to a court case ages ago that all these synthetics are on the market which are not really synthetic
