182 Performance Mods

  SchwepTek™
I know it's been done many times before but what are the best performance mods for a 182 without going into the realms of ITBs and turbo???

Already have exhaust and decat, what do you guys think should come next??

Unless u go down the throttle body or turbo side you arn not going to get much more speed out of it, maybe 10bhp with a re-map.

1. Re-map.
2. Coilovers.
3. Better brake set up.
4. Track driving lessons.
5. Sorted!!

Depends on your budget and how much faster you want your car to be.

Do you have a 30-70 figure in mind?
A certain car you want to beat for some reason?
Are you prepared for anything more noisy or even very noisy?
Do you want it to run everytime you get behind the wheel?

give me 2 days when I get mine back, I'll let you know ;)

i think the rule with coilies is...if you're gonna do it, do it right. i.e. don't buy cheap, and get them set up properly!

£25 for an autotrader advert.

The RS Clio is notouriously difficult to tune without spending big money on it, just enjoy it for what it is.

Panel filter, exhaust and decat are the main ones.
You could look at getting the inlets matched perhaps?

Has anyone had the inlets matched? I'd guess it'd fall into the realms of "blueprinting" the engine.
I suppose to get close to 170bhp you'd have to get this done.

Mine's putting out 178 at the moment at the fly so i guess it would take it to 182ish with inlets?!?!
