I have a 2004 182 used for trackdays only. The power steering failed at the last trackday. I checked the fluid level and it had dropped a lot but there was still some in the system. I attempted to top up the fluid but it made no difference. I have checked and there is fluid in the system and when I removed the pressure switch fluid came out under pressure. So I am assuming the pump is okay. there are no obvious leaks in the pipework. The ESP light is on permanently even when the vehicle is stationary.
I am booked to do a trackday this weekend so I need to get this resolved as soon as. Any ideas anyone?
