182 prices

This might be of interest to some of you.

There was an 05 plate 182 with both cup packs at auction this week, which I went to have a look at. Unfortunately I couldn't stay to see what bidding the car attracted, but the following day I called to ask if it was still for sale, and the answer was yes!
I asked what the reserve price was, they were not able to tell me, but they did say that it had a guide price of, wait for it...... £7200.

I nearly fell off my chair!

Okay the car had only done 9500 miles (but wasn't warranted), but the alloys needed a refurb, and the bonnet was dented in a few places.

I was expecting it to be more like £5000.

I would be surprised if anyone would pay anymore than that at auction.

It was a bag o sh ite-

You missed as well the broken front splitter, The scratches all over the front & rear Bumper, The missing rear parcel shelf, the broken tray by the Cigarette Lighter, the scratches all over the Passenger luggage compartment-
Plus the roor had a big dent as well-
The repair bill + tax was over 1k- it went through at 6.1k which is why it didnt sell-
7200 was about 3k over priced for that car in 'poor' condition'

There was also a Blue 182 in on Thursday, I saw it on Tuesday, but wasn't impressed (lots of scratching on bumpers, and budget tyres on the front!!!).

Bidding went to 6.1k- Which I thought whoever bought it had been stung!!
Cant believe that stupid reserve price- however as unbelievable as it is
the CAP for an 05 plate clio 182 with 10k in avg condition is 6400 & the retail is 8.6!!!!!!
Basically forget a 182 or 172 from BCA-

Also Carsd at Enfield are shite- they are all london cars scrached to shite & car parks dents everywhere-
Try Paddock wood or possinly peterborough- But certainly not for a RS Clio-

I'm really after a 172 Cup, but I am a perfectionist and expect a lot for my money, and in my opinion anything over £4k is generally overpriced, but there are some exceptions.

I am considering a 182, but only at the right price, hence my lunch time visit to Enfield.

Prices seem to have done a U turn. When I got my 182 last October, people were struggling to sell for decent money (got mine for 6k which at the time wasn't bad). Prices seemed to tumble then and 182's were dropping into the 4k bracket!!

Now it seems prices have upped and 182's are selling for 5-6k

End of the credit crunch? lol. Parker's are saying my 182's still worth more than I paid for it last year, whether I could actually sell it for that is another case I suppose.
