Are they supposed to make a raspy noise above 3k revs on a standard exhaust system ?

Because mine does, I quite like the sound but just wondering if they all do it :S

Its not the heat shield either I fixed that :rasp:

its the baffles in the centre section that have rusted and are vibrating. how old and how many miles has your clio done?

i wouldn't be surprised if the standard system isn't shagged by now. mine was 2 years old when i replaced it for a miltek and it had 3 holes in it and the baffles in the centre section had gone.

Nothing I'm getting 35mpg out of the tank too ! driving very sensibly :dapprove:

Mine did, maybe you had a good one. Andy from GDI said it was a common problem as the Renault zorsts are s**t. I changed mine just over a month ago and the old centre section was rusted to hell.
