182 question

Car  Mercedes SLK350

Picked up my Arctic Blue 182 with cup options this morning, very nice indeed. So I sat at the dealers in my car looking around for any differences between 182 interior and the 172 I had just p/x. I noticed, for want of a better description, a blue pip between the courtesy light and rear view mirror, does anyone know what this is? Dealer had not got a clue.

Many thanks Lee.

FFS!!!

Another Lee with their Arctic Blue 182 :(

Lee M has his, you have yours and mine is still 2 weeks away.

Enjoy it tho :D

Cheers,

Lee.

Ill try and get a picture tomorrow. Only problem is I dont know how to post photo. Any advice greatly received.

Perhaps all the Lees with Arctic 182s should meet up, how confusing would that be?

I think its the thermistor for the climate
But that would have been on his old 172 as well...

might be for the alarm as mine is an import and doesnt have the std alarm..and i dont have the thing you describe by the courtesy light

Another Lee. LOL

I dont remember seeing one in mine, but then Ive not really paid that much attention to that area, but as far as I can tell its the same as my 172 was inside except for the silver seat belts and silver bits on the seats.

Ill have a look in the morning.

Lee

Where are you based?

Coventry. Club meet next month in Cov I think. Let me know I can probably sort out a nice pub just off A45. I know the gaffer, I used to do his door for him before he moved pub.

Another relative local then. I work in Birmingham and the other Lee is soon to be working there also.

We had the last Mids meet at the Hollyhead in Cov. Next Mids meet is Cannock, where I live.

you lot arnt far from me either then.. im in mansfield near nottingham :)

(also arctic blue comming +cup extra;s, but my names not lee ;) )

There is also a little blue loop, right at the back, at the top of the glove compartment. I never noticed this on my 172.

Whats that all about?

Hi I have an artic blue 182 but my names not lee and I dont live in the midlands so only one out of three, the blue loop in the glove box is if you want the air con to blow in the glove box you just up clip it.

Ahh! Was that in the manual, or am i just a tad special and missed it?

Also was in on the 172?

And all 2004 clios with a/c

Along with silver seatbelts(dynamique and RS), grey lights, thermoplastic rear trim panels, and for non RS models new dials.

Oh and the 182 and intiale have cabbase written on the stereo

Few other little things, trim colour and stuff.

Everyone from Cov knows the Hollyyhead.

The 172 didnt have the cooled glovebox.

I too have the small blue thing located by the rear view mirror you are refering to and Im pretty sure it wasnt on the 172. It almost looks like a small LED, but I dont think it is.

I cant see a LED type thing on my 182. maybe im not looking in the right place, but its not obvious if im missing it.

Why would i want to air condition my glove box? Apart from if i had a pair of smelly socks/pants in the car. and wanted to freshen them up before a hot date.
