182 Rolling Road results

Not so much offended, they like to be the first to point out optimistic figures.

A 182 making 182bhp is considered a very strong engine.

They tend to make 165-175 and 197/200s tend to make 180-185

Sorry to but in here but I'm almost positive my 172 revs to around 7700 before it makes duh duh duhhh noise (rev limiter I assume) could that mean something is wrong ???

I got told mine was 190.6bhp by the guy I bought it off but he didn't have proof and neither do I but as I can see it has a scorpion cat back a remap and had a very badly fitted k&n style cone that had holes in it ( which I changed to a cold air feed new one next to battery which I copied off pics I seen on here lol, would prefer the original air box with panel tbh)
I'm no expert on cars thou I have had a good few modified ones I can't see how that would make 19bhp on a n\a car but I only had my car a week and I'm on here soaking up like a sponge.

People will tell you all sorts of rubbish tbh mate. I'm in the process of selling a car and I 'could' tell them it's running xyz boost and been mapped by God who doesn't give receipts, cash only. But i won't because it hasn't.

On the flip side people buy stuff and have read somewhere it adds 10bhp so add that onto their 182 in this case. As long as the car drives well who cares. Nothing worse than rocking up to a rolling road day with your 1900000 Clio or what ever to find its less than you had been shouting about.

This isn't you as an example as such, I just kept hitting the keys lol

Who's to say the rollers I have used aren't correct other than you and a few others ? Have you ran your car on the rollers I used ?

I'm no expert in rolling roads but take it to either efi, Surrey if you fancy a drive or Rs tunning, then if the results are the same I will be the first to retract any smart arse comments

Mines is only a 172 so your 10 up on me to start I'm not fussed long as its above 172 lol the scorpion sounds really good and ain't too loud so chuffed it has that, next local rolling road day near me I will go along and find out for sure and if its more it will be a nice bonus.

Don't take it to Surrey, as Charlie said, they "only make 160-170bhp".

On a standard ish car, not a great amount. So many variables mate, timming being one. And when I say timming not what time of day you go.

All I have is a suspect looking receipt for it being done 500miles ago I don't think it's down on power but I will have it checked save me some worry and perhaps bigs bills can any garage check or does it need to be a special one inwas also going to pop off engine mount have a look a belt it should still be shiny after 500 miles mind you I put 1000 miles on it this week lol

I'd take it to your local specialist and get it checked, belt failure is an engine killer so they can check things have been changed at the same time as checking the timing.

Don't get me started, ive had the car a week and already spent £800 on it, I have a small shopping list and its not looking good for my finances ha, theres one for sale with everything already done for 2500. Tempted to just buy that

That's how my cars usually end the parts cost much more that the car, I only paid 800 for the car lol already got new headunit abs sensor rearview mirror 2 new conti sport tyres new induction kit washer pump and added new bulbs and rear shocks to my list which is getting long lol
