182 spare tyre

Have recently bought a new 182,quite concerned at no spare wheel.Have been advised that when the tubes are used its tricky for fitters to find the puncture to repair. So bought a new 15" wheel and had tyre fitted to match existing (in size), from fitters chart. Cost about £50.Have been warned that using a not quite matching spare on the front could damage transmission.Problem obviously is that spare uses up half the boot.Any thoughts anyone.

i take it uve tested the fit - as the recess on your wheelnuts might be wrong. i.e they might come undone.

Have been trying to find a suitable spare myself. Asked on exterior forum.

What i have been told is "make sure it will fit over the discs"

Was thinking about getting a spacesaver from clio, megane, laguna etc, whatever would fit.

But what i have been advised is this, if you get a puncture on the front, switch it for one of your back ones and put the spare on the back till you get it fixed.
