182 steering wheel change.

Just purchased a 182, I want to change the standard wheel for an omp velocita superleggera I've purchased for it, will this throw up any issues like airbag light etc? Anyway of getting around that?

Airbag light will be on and system will be deactive!
At moment this is still not a mot failure although it was being looked at by vosa last year

Anyway of losing the light? Can I whip the dash out and remove the bulb for instance? Or is there a way of telling ecu not to show the light? It will annoy me highly.

only way to get rid of the bulb is un-solder it from the board,
best way is to get a resistor for the connector to make the system think the airbag is there
i cant remember what ohm resistor it is but there is a post somewhere about it
