182 test drive

Just got back from my test drive and I was well amazed at the difference.Test drove a 182 with cup packs and the car feels a lot better balanced,it seems heavier and more solid.I didnt think there would be much difference between it and my 172 but I can honstly say that the 182 is awesome especially with the cup suspension.Felt a lot better going round the roundabouts and the ride wasnt as harsh as I expected just firmer and more positive in the corners.I WANT IT NOOOOOOWWWW. The only downside was the colour of the car(arctic blue)wasnt too keen on it.

You could easily make your 172 feel the same way. I did.

The car I drove had just been sold 2hrs before,so some poor buggers cars just had a good thrapin!Nearly smashed it too!As I was pulling out the forecourt some numbnuts was indicating to pull in.......so I started to pull out only for OAP man to carry on straight!!Salesman papped his keks! So whoever just bought an arctic blue 182 with cup packs nearly got his money back!LOL

Id be well annoyed if i had just bought a car, and the dealer was using it for test drives.

i went to look at a car at renault and they didnt have one, but they had on ethat had just been sold, they let me look at it, but wouldnt let me drive it, which i completely agree with

Glad you liked the car...Im more impressed by mine with each and every passing day. As soon as I feel that firm but smooth thump as the car glides off my drive, and the steering wheel jiggles in my hand as I pull away and hear the exhaust rasping, I get a beaming smile on my face

The dealer is a c**k though.

Salesman didnt tell me till after the near miss,I wasnt allowed to drive further than 5 miles either.I agreethat its not good practice but I presume who bought the car will know its an ex-demo.

Before i ordered my 182 the dealer had a brand spanking unsold 172 in the showroom (They had no 182 demonstrators at that time) and they offered me a test drive in it.More than once i told them it was Ok and there was no need to do that for me but they insisted and got it ready for me to drive.That car then became a demonstrator.I was impressed with them doing that.

Similar to 182blue i got a call as soon as they recieved their very first 182,mine was on order at this time but i had never seen one.As it was for a customer i was only allowed to look,which is totally right if the car was sold.

When i bought the 182, some guy was looking at the 182 Cup in the showroom, so he came outside to look at the full 182 with cup packs, i felt that there would not be a problem in them looking at the car. The could see the difference between the 182 Cup & 182 and i felt proud that people liked me 182...

deffo gettin one with cup packs,just gotta thrash out a deal with saleaman.He reckons Im lookin at approx £150 a month using my car as deposit.Also I said I wanted to wait till the new shape is released butv he said that this will run alongside the present clio as the new model isnt replacing it.Anyone know if this is true?

The brand new Clio is launched end of the year and the Renault sport is out Summer 2006 (September Id guess everyone will by then on the new registrations although demos will be registered before that). SO you will have a time when the 182 and 182 CUP will run alongside the new shape cars.

Id just want till the new car turn up a, 140hp diesel and just under 200hp 6 speed cars will be much better.

I dont think it looks that bad,and when the RS boys have tweaked it I think it will look good,look at the diff between a base model clio and a sport version now.Im gonna wait till the new model as I dont wanna spend money on a car that looks identical inside when a new version is coming out soon.

Got a 53 172, im defo going to keep hold of it until the new RS clio is out next spring. By then you should have a choice of a few hot hatchs too
