182:tick tick noise

just got my 182 done 300 and odd miles when i park up it ticks really loudly for ages is it from the cat/exhaust (it sounds like it)and is it ok?cheers big ears

from about 80 miles new.....just a 2 sec blast and then slow down again

My 172 always makes that tinkling/ticking noise most times I drive it even when I was running the engine in.

I tend to avoid driving hard all the time but I find it does this most times I park up.

its the metal in your cat/exhuast contracting again after expanding from the heat. most cars do it after they have been driven hard. Mine does it, sort of a "Tink" like someones tapping metal with a spoon
