182 vs cooper s

  VaVa

Im not one of the deluded ones fella, you dont have to convince me. I dont care what my car can/cant beat ... all I know is I enjoy driving it and thats enough for me. Obviously isnt for some though.

Although I have to add that, in a straight line at least, Ive had more trouble with VTSs than I have Cooper Ss!

Im not sure that morphed clio has got the mini bhp right. From what I understand, the Cooper S started with 163bhp and at that time the Works conversion took that to 200bhp. Now the standard Cooper S has 170bhp and the Works conversion takes that to 210bhp.

I stand corrected. After i posted that i checked it out when i got home and you are right, the Cooper S does have 170BHP, but i was right on the Works package with 210BHP.

i my opinion, the clio and mini, despite being in the same size class, are two very much different cars...

mini is a piece of art on four wheels and a status simbol...also, i love the engine, though not as good as it could be, its a very interesting concept in the class of super-minis (1.6 with a charger)...

clio, on the other hand, is a wolf in a sheep clothing...you dont really get noticed when driving around the town, but you get lots of attention on the open roads, when you blast past cars, much stronger on paper:)...

to sum it up, mini offers good performance plus image...clio, however, offers only superb perfomance with little image...it only depedns on what you value more...i know what i prefer, although if i would be purchasing a new car, mini would be on my top 5 list...
