182 vs X-Box vs Animal Instincts

Pi**ed off. I am single now due to the outcome of last nights events. The "usually" more responsible better half took her stress out on the bonnet of the 182, firstly smashing it with the x-box, then jumping on the bonnet and ending it off with kicking in the lower grill. I am absolutely gutted.

Thank goodness I was sober when this happened, or else I would probably have done the (above), causing more damage to the beast, and would be in a police cell now.

No can do. I am the registered keeper, but the car is financed in her name. (So legally it is her car). Although, I am the only driver of the car, pay the monthly installments, and insurance. It is still her car.

BINGO, you hit the nail right on the head . I was actually playing the X-Box and she came in and wanted to watch some naff program. Me being the spitefull person I am, and not complying with her wishes, resulted in her ripping the console out and smashing it into the car.

Right, I took her to New Brighton this afternoon to discuss the damage issues over a beer, (Stupid, I know). I told her she would either have to pay for the damage, claim from the insurance, or return the car to the loan company as I do not feel comfortable driving it approx 100 miles a day on the motorway in it's present state. She now claims that I ripped the x-box consol from the rack and threw it against the walls, which caused her to then pick it up and smash it against the car, (HOW STUPID), Smash my own x-box and my car... She now also says the car is mine and she wants nothing to do with it, and that she is not paying for anything. The reason being is that out of frustration, and seeing what she had done to the x-box and the car, I reacted and put 2 holes in a wall in the flat. She reckons she's not losing her deposit. I told her I can fix the holes in the wall at next to no cost, so long as she has the car repaired, but she's not having any of it. Do I just cancel the monthly direct debits for the car from my account, or close my bank account completely? (Bearing in mind, this is a joint bank account, however, it's only my wages that go into this bank account).

When she is out one day get some scissors and cut up all her clothes. She will probably be more bothered about her clothes than your car so its the best form of revenge.
