182 warning lights

Had all esp and abs lights etc come on whilst driving, reading previous posts on here I understand it is a fualt with the brake light switch.

Been to one dealer already who changed the switch but blamed the fault on the Clifford G5 Alarm and the BlackJax wire to the pedal, so took the car to the alarm shop to have the BlackJax wire removed from the brake pedal, and guess what the warning lights still come on!!!!!

Has anyone had the fault succesfully cured at a Kent dealership as the one I have been dealing with dont really have a clue?

Mail me if you prefer not to name a dealership on here!

Thanks,

Matt

Any dealership should be able to fix it its a tech note written on it saying how to fix it.

Take it to any other dealership and they should be able to do it for you.

I was having the same problem in my 04 182, good to know its a known problem, yeah quite worrying when youre approaching a bend downhill doing about 80 and the dash lights up like a 747 cockpit!

Dealing with dealers, always a hassle!

I didn’t even notice the lights come on with my car. I was approaching a roundabout a little quickly when the wheels locked up! Noticed after that the ABS ESP and SERV lights were on. Turned car off and back on and they have gone away. This is the first time its done it in 1500 miles but it was worrying how easily I managed to lock the wheels without the ABS.

Always happens at the same place for me, big downhill section 200 miles into my drive. Problem with killing the engine and starting it again is it doesnt always start first time! So to be safe I pull over and kill it and re-start.
