182 with Janspeed on standard mounts

Has anyone had any problems with a Janspeed cat back on the standard renault mounts. Just cant get the tailpipes level and the standard mounts look terrible. I also get a metallic knocking under heavy cornering :S Any suggestions welcome!

When you say not level do you mean not central in the bumper holes or not horizontally level? Mine is horizontally level but the right pipe is not central to the right bumper exit hole...i'm a perfectionist and it really annoys me!

I'm using the standard stock mounts which holds the exhaust pretty well but some ppl have used BMW mounts which are much better - do a search

You could try using two small pieces of garden hose to help firm up the std rubber exhaust mounts. I did this on mine and I have a Janspeed pipe, although I've not ever had a problem with knocking - but it did help to position the tail pipes a little higher which looks neater.

Nebdingo, what did you replace yours with?

At the minute I havent, as mine is sitting pretty good. But I am looking at various different mounts to try and make it sit "perfect"

not the one thats in the pic above but to the right of that behind the right back box is two mounts. those are poor! looking at replacing them too!

but if/when I find good replacements or tips ill get them up with photos.

this is on standard mounts, only thing ive done it used a cable tie on the L/H bracket.

Mine is on stadard mounts and sits central/equal with about a 6mm gap at the top of each pipe

Think my problem is the mounts, one looks fine but the other looks totally deformed!
