182 xenons

Ive noticed that although the xenons are very bright and white they dont actually seem to throw their beam very far. Ive really had to slow down on some twistys at night as I couldnt see far enough in front! When I put the main beam on everythings fine and great throw of light but not much help if theres anything coming the other way.

Also noticed it on a long straight A road, the dipped beam seemed very short.

Has anyone else found this or am I just imagining it?!!

Not having Xnenons, but the lights on my mk1 172 are pretty pants even on full beams compared to my mk2 1.2 clio! Even with 100W bulbs in! Is bloody annoying!

the ones on my 172 are brill.I took my dads focus out the other day and it felt like i was driving with candles compaired to my xenons,maybe your auto height adjust is failing and there pointing at the floor..??

thats why you have full beam???? or is it that the auto leveling might not be working???

Cant say ive ever had any isssues like that with the 172.

mine are fine realy good n clear have you got them set for a load in the boot? try your auto washers

My beams fine, and I can see much better than I could with any of my previous cars...(OK, its not a 182, but the headlights are the same!)
