197 'box on 182

Will it fit? I am assuming bell housing is the same as 2l block is essentially the same, but just wondering if the box is bigger on the 197 externally, and if there are any other potential issues with fitting one such as any shaft differences/gear linkage? Seeing as my box is potentially shagged thought I might upgrade while I'm there...

What benefit will it have though?

6 speed, potentially more reliable, Closer ratio so better acceleration, and longer 6th gear for better economy on motorway. Plenty of reasons
