197 cams.... worth the upgrade?

I am going to have my belts done soon, and think it would be rude not to partake in a cheeky cam swap while I am there. Mine is a ph1 172 used as a daily. Only mods being a panel filter and stainless.

What's the CS general concensous on the 197 swap? think its worth the extra cost? And I assume it would require live mapping post fit too?

The timing needs to be adjusted to get the most from them aswell, so I've read

would see probs high 180's probably, if the rs2 gives you alot from what i've read,
