197 climate control display?

  LY 200
Can somebody advise whether the temp set will stay on the screen at all times even when turned off please?

Reason i ask is because the 182's shut down totally (the screen went blank) when the CC/AC was off but this one doesnt and i dont wanna be burning unnessary fuel now do i!? ;)

Cheers

Jay

I would love to tell you but I have the manual climate control and have to twist knobs

Really Marv? One of my main criteria is the digital climate. OP in the ones I've seen it's always been on from engine start if that helps - I've test driven about 5 now and it's been the same in each one lol

You know it only uses fuel when the AC is actually on? Very much dout it will this time of year.

Yes mate and it doesn't bother me at all. I like the look of the manual dash as the climate one has too many blank spaces but that is just personal preference. My main criteria was getting a 197 in a colour I liked.

I was thinking of going for an F1 and my first post here was should I go for a standard or an F1?. I don't drive it like I stole it all the time and have the wife and kids on board so the general feedback was not to get the cup chassis. Have to say the feedback was right and I prefer the flexibility of the standard set up. (Everyone hated being a passenger in my CTR). As I posted, Seb (one of the moderators had just put his 197 up for sale) and Nimbus is by far the nicest colour ;) as far as I'm concerned. One amzing car with one careful owner . Job done.

Get yours and we will hook up.

You'll be the first to know :D
Yeah I don't want the cup chassis either, my OH thinks the standard one is 'bumpy' lol! Definitely need to get one soon, getting quite frustrated now!

Im glad I got the Cup chassis now, but Id have to agree with you Marv if I had little 'uns on board id have gone for the much comfier std setup and seats. But hey im still young, may aswell hammer my spine whilst I still can lol :D

It's not the kids, that just want me to go faster  it's the wife that drives me up the wall (only in car terms)

This thread reminds me of the "Bright" button on Scoobs.

The most useless button ever put on any car :D.

ps Mine stays on all the time (I'm pretty sure the 200 will be the same - didn't read anything in the releases that it had be changed) :)

Sorry i thought you were messing about.

If the fan is off, the temp remains set to what it is on the panel.
(If the temp is set to lower than ambient, it will just pass though ambient air)

If you aint got kids, changing the GF is easy. When you got kids compromise is the way forward. I sat in the Recaros and thought they were great but am happy with the standard ones. The standard seats feel a lot more snug but are too soft in the lumber.

ATTENTION SEEKING ***** young one! ;) One of those i will never be!

I have the Recaros! Love the snug fit and they look ace but they do come across very lightweight and you can tell if you dont look after them (i literally hop in and out of mine) they'll wear in no time! The standard seats dont do much for me personally!
