I'm guessing the new Cup will be quicker than a regular 197...

Anybody know the figures? :)

20-30kg depending on spec.

Performance differences at that level would be questionable.

Nope no quicker realy as no weight been lost realy.
agreed...no engine difference and neglible weight difference. would far rather have the standard 197 with creature comforts than an inferiror product with no performance gains (IMO)

Missing the point as many do.

The cup is cheaper, quite a bit cheaper.
Its by no means inferior as its the same great car thats been made more accesible to buyers on a lower budget.

Theres no doubt it will be a nicer drive than a loaded 197 and without A/c it would produce its power in a nicer way.

Inferior is the wrong word, try cheaper.

fair enough...i stand corrected. would still rather save my money for an extra couple of months and buy the fully loaded 197...i like my comforts :rasp:

back to the original point...no, i don't think it will be any quicker

Spot on. I think i'm gonna spec up a cup in white, recaros (more weight saving) WITHOUT A/C. I wont miss it in anyway :approve: (previously having a cup) Its, imo, why the 172 cups make their power more often than not.......

...I agree, my cup feels quite a bit quicker than my old 172... Everyone who's been in it agrees:)

ah but even 182 cups have aircon ;)

172's dont, unless a late one as A/C was an option.

Yes but Cup vs 172 FF is a saving of 89 kg !!

197 Cup is only saving 20 - 30 kg which wont make any real world difference
