197 ECU Re-program

I know there not many 197 owners on here, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

There is quite a common problem with the 197 where it kangaroos from cold for the first few hundred yards. This has been quite well documented on Renault Sport forum and in their experts section.

For this fault there is meant to be a re-program available. One guy says he's had this done in the last couple of days. My car is at the dealer today and fair enough they acknowledge the problem but say that Renault so far have not yet released the re-program for it.

Do any of you guys know any more about the release of this, or even had it done???

To do with the build date of your car apparently.

I thought this was just me not being used to the throttle! Nearly stall it every time I go round the mini roundabout at the top of my road, next time I'm near my dealer I'll pop in and see if they have anything of use to say.

Same here, with a mini roundabout at the end of my road.... ill get the bf to take the car in to the dealers or ring them... they never respond to me!

Just got back from the dealers. Aparently theres no remap available yet for it, but they are going to contact me when there is. Just have to wait I guess.
