197 headlight washers

Ok now...how do these work? they seem to wash themselves when ever they feel the need to.
Do the lights have some sort of sensor or is there a timer on the number of washes you do on the windscreen before the headlight washers do their bit?

Its probably very simple, but ive been racking my brain about this over the past few dirty drives to work these last few days

Only when the headlights are on IIRC.

So if the headlights are on and you wash the windscreen, it washes the lights to? dont recall it always doing that tbh

they do one light at a time when the headlamps are on, thats what they do on my clio

Yeah I understand that it does one at a time.... but what triggers them to work? Is it random?

No. Headlights on, then they will come on for when you've held the washers on for more than a few seconds iirc. Well they did on my 197, and 182 before it.

That's true.

When your lights are on and you hold your washers for more than 3s they come on.
