197 revs on idle - problem

today's very hot so I turned the AC on full blast, parked the car while the gf does some shopping and reved the car a bit few times...
When I release the throttle the revs fall past 1000 rpm and even more and then "flicker" a bit and return to normal idle !?

This also happened twice last month - tried to start the car, the revs were also way down and the car choked.So had to start it again, and give it some throttle ...

the car's done 15.000 miles... no mods bar itg panel filter and a 95RON map by rsTuner ...

what could it be?
other than these problems the engine revs happily all the way to 7500 rpm

Did it do it before you changed the map?

iv got the map on mine and its still fine but i dont have aircon so could be that?

the engine stalled a few times (before the map) the dealer said it was "fuel contamination".. so a bit of spit&clean and I was off.
And it happened again.Could be the fuel...

and I also don't recall this AC problem.But can't be sure.Could it really put that much load on the engine? I thought new cars don't have the problem of tha AC sucking power.
Because when mine is turned ON it feels like it's got 100bhp less... NO torque AT ALL!

Mines got a shocking idle but thats down to the fact one of my injectors is goosed! What fault codes have you downloaded?

you mean did I check for any fault codes?

I have the 95RON calibration file and the latest software (with the kangaroo patch) download from www.fastchip.nl

nope...But I'll plug the RStuner tonight and see.

Can I clean the injectors myself? take them out and all... !?

also - are those injector cleaning fluids FAKE !? I mean they're not like those chips on e-bay "50 bhp for 5 dollars" ?
STP injection cleaner is available here..should I give it a try? can't do any damage...

Why have you mapped it for 95 when 97+ is really required??

95-98 RON

says on the filler cap...
I know 97+ is better but 95ron is the only type available here (This is the 100th times I'm repeating this lol)

and the 95ron map wasn't custom made for my car, there are more 197 owners from all over europe who can't get better fuel.

update...
today sittin' in traffic, AC off - car starts to judder a bit, revs drop and it feels like it's going to shut down so I rev it a bit and then it's ok...



what's wrong
diagnostics show nothing

Use datalogging to find what's wrong , if you can. Possible cause, O2F sensor, injector...
