197 Running bad :(

Hay guys

Got a problem with my 197. When pulling away in any gear between 2000 and 3000 rpm my car seems to shudder and struggle. After 3000rpm it seems fine well maybe a bit down on power. Im totally lost on what it could be as it just started while i was in traffic yesterday and hasnt stoped since. Any help would be great.

No its a lot worse the car struggles and the exhaust pops

How dose it run at idle ? Could have a misfireplugs coils etc I no on the earlier 197 there was an issue were the wireing feeding the injectors and ignition coils rubbed through on the cylinder head

At idle it runs fine its only when i put my foot down to pull away its splutters and stuggles then gets past it and carrys on fine but maybe a bit down on power.

Could be a coil going down.

Fuel pump? not unheard of.

Mine just stopped after a bit of hero driving. Pump alone was £200, seen a few issues on 197net of pump failure.

Cheers for all the help guys turns out to be the plugs. Replaced them all and it runs like a dream again

hey guys im experiencing the same problem with my 197, it splutters and pops around 3000 rpm, not just when i pull away but when im cruising at say 60mph it splutters and bogs down, however as soon as i giv it 100% throttle it goes, and it has to be full throttle not just a bit more, when i plugged in the diagnostics it came up a destructive misfire on cylinder 2. i have changed all the plugs as they were all burned out and also changed the coil on cylinder 2 and has made little difference. i am now thinking this could be an injector problem but would like to know if you guys no of anything else before i spend more money, any help is great thanks guys.
