197 Temp Gauge

Hi,my 197 seems to sit at just over the 1/4 marker on the Temp Gauge.If sat in traffic sometimes it will creep up,but when on the move that's where it is.My old 182 used to sit at halfway and never move.Is this normal?I'd like to know if others are experiencing the same thing.Many thanks.Chris.

i've heard of a fair few do this mate,mine included,i changed the thermostat and all was fixed

Mines the same, also it's not getting very warm inside even on hottest setting. It will be the thermostat. I'm planning n putting a new one in in the next could of weeks.

I can confirm that the 182 thermostat works a treat in the 197. The car has been running a lot warmer the last week or two since I changed mine.

I can dig out the receipt for you mate. It was £16 + vat though (approx).
