I'm going to look into the 197. I never really took to the Mk2s in the same way I did to the Mk1s (even though I had a Ph2 172 and currently have a Mk2 1.2), but I find the basic design of the Mk3 Clio is more appealing.
I'd be in a position to buy a new 197, but also to have something like a Clio Williams tucked away should the right car come up!
