1995 Clio front bit of plastic

Hello,

My Clio 1.8 Rsi 1995 seems to have had a bit of a homemade repair done on it. The front plastic bit that sits in front of the radiator and below the bonnet is now loose at one side where it had been stuck down with some sort of compound.

The picture shows where the repair had been; it has now come away totally so the whole bit is loose.

Can I just remove this whole bit of plastic? Behind it is the radiator so as well as being cosmetic I guess this is to protect the radiator from stones and the like hitting it while letting air pass above and below it.

If I can't just take it off should I get some kind of mesh to stop larger stones getting in?

Anyone know if this front grill from a mk1 clio J reg

will fit this

It will but you'd be better to wait and get a ph2 one, like you've got, looks loads better

Oh and you can just take it off no problem, the chances of something breaking your rad up there would be slim imo.

The light finisher is a piss of piss to get off, one screw by the grill and two prongs on the other end which clip in to the headlight.
