1997 Honda Prelude 2.2

I was asked by my mate to give his Prelude a going over with a machine polisher.
He told me that it was a rare car, because of the colour, Bordeaux Red.

Anyway he dropped off the car and it was in a bit of a state, there was no reflection in the paint and it was very dull and cloudy.

There were a few marks around the car, Bird poo etching and some crazy scratching where had tried removing bird poo.

Started off with the wheels which were cleaned with AF Imperial and various brushes, tyres were cleaned with Megs APC and a wheel brush, then the alloys further cleaned with Iron X.

The wheels were in a bit of a state, paint was flaking in places.


Any way, the paint was pre soaked in AF Citrus Power, left to dwell then washed off.
Then washed with AF Lather using a wash mitt and 2 bucket method.
De tared with ObliTARate, then Clayed with AF clay and Dodo Juice Born Slippy.

Polish wise I went with Megs #105 with a yellow 3M pad and refined with a Lake country black pad with Megs #205.
Wiped down with IPA and used Dodo Juice Light Fantastic as LSP.
