1999 clio 1.2 pops out of 5th after 20 miles

hi guys i need some help my cousin has a 1999 clio 1.2 if he gets in the car and does a motorway drive around 20miles the car pops out of 5th gear the vehicle does jolt and shuder as its going along could this be the gear box or could it be linked to the dogbone ? thanks

I would take a stab at either the dogbone or gearbox mount is goosed

thats what im thinking i pick the car up from him next week so i will have a look fingers crossed its not the gearbox

The gearbox mount isn't that hard to change from what I've seen, it just needs supporting and you're good to go.
