1k to spend quotes wanted

I have a 1.6 16v 110bhp
in a couple of months i will have about 1k to spend.. Its about time i tweaked the engine. I would like to know ideas on how to spend my money. And if possible prices for the jobs. I want to maintain drive ability. When i emailed benr he suggested my ideas for the money would be a waste and emailed back saying to ring him. I will if he don't reply to this. So basically how do you think i would best spend a grand.
I have already done suspension and brakes.
I dont wanna hear comments like just buy a faster car.
Also in 6-12 months i should have another grand to spend so anything now should account for this.

well id do either one of two things

1) buy a new (bigger) engine and then save some more to modd the crap out of it.

or

2) buy a car with a bigger engine and this is the one i would do mainly for ease.

exhaust upgrade , buy a good induction kit .... 1 grand spent then

Im thinking along those lines. Exhaust and induction kit comes to 730

Its silver. 40 mm suspension drop on 15" tsw freeze alloys. Rest of exterior is standard. Im at work at the min posting on my phone. Ill take some photos tomorrow.

the same can be said about most things though. By that logic you shouldnt own a car because you will never make your money back
