1st Anniversary of EDC Ownership

Car  LY 200 EDC
A year today I made the 566 mile round trip to trade in my Mk4 Clio Media Nav diesel for the Liquid Yellow Clio 200 EDC. In the week leading up to the deal I'd been on the phone to the salesman working out the finance numbers, I then took the punt to drive to Vospers in Plymouth to view it, test drive and end up buying.

I've had a brilliant year in it taking it to car shows and meets all over England, trackdays both here and in France. And a 4 day driving break through Belgium to the Nurburgring.

With a few minor tweeks along the way I can honestly say after a year it's still a car I'm glad to own, it feels great to get in and drive and does everything I want it to on and off the track.

These are really starting to grow on me. I think it’s because of this car lol.

Is the resonator delete Just bunging up the feed from the airbox that filters into the cabin?

NOVEMBER
And back to November, a year on. A few plans in the pipeline over winter. Cup Race spoiler has been ordered, not the genuine one but an exact copy. Hopefully in the new year I can reveal the finished exterior look. 2018 will be a year for trackdays.

It is, to be fair the more miles I've out on it sounds like it's getting louder unless it's placebo

Loving it ! I’ve got the trophy and much like you, I don’t regret my choice (although I do miss the F4R a little)
When you removed the acoustic valve, did it remove the buzz/whine from the cabin before you start it up ?
Also where did you get the spoiler replica, id thought about one as it brings the exterior up nicely but at over 1k before paint it put me right off haha

To be honest I don't think I've come across a buzz or whine I'll have to check it out next time I'm in the car. I hasn't really made a difference capping the ends, in fact as I've put more miles on its stayed the same maybe a touch louder with the ITG induction kit on. You can noticeably hear it spool up and every now and then I'll have the waste gate chatter mid throttle, then coming off it which sounds nice.

As for the spoiler there's a chap on Facebook who makes the exact copies of the genuine cup spoiler. He's doing a limited run of 30 so I had to put my name down for one.

It's a great car, the technology in them has moved it on, coupled with a good chassis it really does well all round. With a few cheeky changes over winter it will be just where I want it.
