1st Service...

Hey all,

Need a bit of advise really.

I will soon need to put my Clio in for it's 1st service. As I have done nothing like this before I need to know how to go about things. The mileage is about 8800, and I understand you need to service the Clio either:

You reach 10,000 miles
OR
12 months have passed since the car was 1st registered.

Looking on my log book, the Clio was 1st registered 02-03-2005. I doubt it very much that I will do 1200 miles in a month. So do I need to get the Clio booked in for the 1st service around the beginning on March?

Also do I need anything, and what are the costs like for the service?

I went down on Saturday for an oil change and will be going againg at 12k!

Oh yeah, just read this:

Service every 18,000 miles or every 2 years depending on which interval is reached first

So I have no idea where I got the 10,000 miles OR 12 months thingy from...

Well I thought that if you don't get your var serviced after 10,000 miles OR after 12 months - then the 3 year warrenty would be invalided.

God's know where I heard that too...
